Cleaning Made Easy
Joolify jewelry is designed to be with you every day, for years to come. All it needs is a little care and love. Just follow these simple steps to bring back its glow:
1. Fill a bowl with lukewarm water and 2–3 drops of mild dish soap.
2. Stir gently to mix.
3. Soak your jewelry for 10-15 minutes.
4. Gently brush with a soft toothbrush.
5. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a soft towel or tissue.
6. For extra shine, use a jewelry polishing cloth.
For gold-plated pieces (18k gold): skip the water! Simply polish gently with a soft jewelry cloth to avoid wearing down the plating.
If your piece includes fabric or leather, keep it dry and only clean the metal surface.
Avoid Tarnish & Wear
Our jewelry is made from recycled 925 Sterling Silver, plated in 18k gold or platinum. Over time, some fading is natural, but you can slow it down by avoiding:
1. Contact with perfumes, creams, cosmetics and detergents.
2. Chlorinated pools and seawater.
3. Wearing your jewelry while sleeping, working out, or during intense activity.
4. High humidity or heat (e.g., in bathrooms).
Reminder: All platings, including gold and platinum, are subject to natural wear over time. It’s not a flaw. It’s part of the material’s life cycle.
No Harsh Chemicals, Please
Avoid using chemical silver cleaners or abrasive materials. These can damage the metal finish and any organic elements (like fabrics or stones).
Joollions & Joolets: Extra Care Tips
1. After attaching your Joollion, make sure it clicks into the final position, not the intermediate lock.
2. Unsure? Check from the side – in the final position, the Joollion sits closer to the Joolet.
3. If needed, press and twist clockwise to secure it.
4. Fabric elements (like macramé or cord): slight color change over time is natural and not considered a defect.
Leather Joolets Deserve Love Too
Treat your leather Joolet with the care it deserves. Keep it soft, clean, and ready to host your favourite Joollion.
For daily care: wipe gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
If stained: clean immediately before it sets.
Use mild soap or a gentle, non-chemical leather cleaner. Dip a cloth into the foam, clean the surface, then dry with a clean cloth.
For extra softness, apply a small amount of leather conditioner.
Avoid direct sunlight and excessive humidity. That way, your leather piece stays as beautiful as the first time you wore it.
Storage Matters
To keep your jewelry in top condition:
1. Store it in its original Joolify packaging or a soft jewelry pouch.
2. Avoid contact with other hard surfaces to prevent scratches.
3. Don’t store it in bathrooms or plastic bags (like trash bags).
